After graduating from Kansas State, Kyle joined the production crew at KCTV5, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City.  Kyle's duties included operating studio cameras for daily newscasts and the weekend morning show.

His advertising career began as he worked his way into KCTV5’s commercial production department, where he produced a variety of local television spots as well as a video series for the Kansas Department of Travel and Tourism.

Upon leaving KCTV in June 2005, he accepted a position as a Creative Editor alongside the talented team at PlattForm. Along with his friends and coworkers, he began producing films in 2004, beginning with his winning entry in the Kansas International Film Festival/IFC “Page One” event.
